I have found lots of suggestions to fix the deauthorization error but they all include a folder I don't seem to have. All they could say is my only option was to read what was offered here which I told them was great but I didn't have the folder/files I was supposed to delete, to which they could only say they can't help me. So I am about ready to chuck my computer out the window and if there was any other option Adobe Digital Editions would be history, however I try Adobe live chat, and they are so unhelpful I can't believe it. However, I don't have adobe digital editions listed here I have only: /library/application support/adobe/flash player install manager So I find some advice on here to go into /library/application support/adobe/adobe digital editions. So then I try to deauthorize and I get the following message: Unable to Erase Authorization. So then I look at this forum see that I should deauthorize my account and then reauthorize. So I do all this and next thing you know I get the following error message:Įrror getting License. They asked me to repair user permissions, uninstall adobe digital, restart computer and then reinstall. So naturally I contact overdrive as I thought it was an error on the specific book. This morning when downloading a book from the library I got the following error message: If you continue to have problems with ADE, see this article for more troubleshooting options.Adobe Digital Editions has worked like a dream forever on my MAC until today and now it seems like everything creates an error. Plug your Kobo back into your computer, then open ADE.During your device setup, make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi.When you sync next, your ebooks should automatically be restored, but please remember to back everything up before performing the reset. Then, close ADE and unplug your Kobo.Īs stated above, this process will erase all of your data. After you've tried all the steps above, back up anything on your Kobo that you don't want to lose. Please note that when you do this, all of the information you have stored on your Kobo will be erased. If resetting your authorization didn't work, you likely need to perform a factory reset on your Kobo. If you're still having trouble, try a factory reset This step will also reauthorize your Kobo. Transfer the ebook from ADE to your Kobo.Downloaded latest ADE from Adobe’s website and install it Authorized my computer in ADE using the HELP menu and selecting Authorize Computer After youve gone through the above steps, try download. Re-download the ebook that was causing issues from your library's digital collection. Sometimes there are rules in place on a corporate network that prevent Digital Editions from communicating with the Adobe server. This siolution, worked for me: Uninstall ADE and remove it from the trash.Otherwise, you won't be able to re-download your ebook from your library's digital collection. Note: Make sure to reauthorize your computer using the same Adobe ID or OverDrive account as before.
